Cookie Policy
How Infotap uses cookies and similar technologies, the analytics tools we run, how long each one lasts, and how you can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
Last updated June 16, 2026What cookies are & why we use them
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as pixels, tags, local storage, and session storage — work in comparable ways. Together they let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you securely signed in, and understand how the site is performing.
Infotap uses these technologies for two purposes only: to make the site function (security, sessions, and remembering your cookie choice) and to analyze traffic so we can improve the experience. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we never sell your personal information.
Cookie categories
We group cookies into two categories. You can turn Analytics on or off at any time; Necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them.
| Category | Purpose | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Required for the site to function. Includes session and security cookies, and the record of your cookie choice. | No — always on |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how visitors use the site. Includes Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Microsoft Clarity, and Dynamics 365 Customer Insights. | Yes — off by default in the EU/UK |
Analytics tools we use
When you consent to Analytics cookies, the following four tools may run. Each is listed with its provider, what it does, and how long its cookies persist.
| Tool | Provider | What it does | Cookie duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google LLC | Measures site traffic, sessions, and which pages and journeys perform best. | _ga — 2 years _ga_<id> — 2 years _gid — 24 hours |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | LinkedIn (Microsoft) | Measures campaign reach and which professional audiences engage with our content. | bcookie — 1 year li_sugr — 90 days UserMatchHistory — 30 days lidc — 24 hours |
| Microsoft Clarity | Microsoft Corporation | Aggregated heatmaps and session replay that show where visitors click and scroll, so we can fix friction. | _clck — 1 year CLID — 1 year _clsk — 1 day |
| Dynamics 365 Customer Insights | Microsoft Corporation | Connects on-site engagement to our CRM so sales follow-ups are relevant to what you viewed. | up to 1 year |
Durations are the maximum lifetime set at the time of writing; providers may adjust them. Clearing cookies in your browser removes them immediately.
Necessary cookies
These are always active and cannot be switched off. They carry no advertising or cross-site tracking function.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| .Infotap.Session | Maintains your session as you move between pages. | Session |
| .Infotap.Antiforgery | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| infotap_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every visit. | 12 months |
Changing or withdrawing consent
Your choice is never final. You can review or change which categories are active at any time, on any page:
Manage cookie preferences
Open the preferences panel to turn Analytics on or off and save your choice.
- From any page: use the Cookie Settings link in the site footer, available at all times.
- Withdraw at any time: reopening preferences and turning Analytics off stops all four analytics tools going forward and updates our consent signal immediately.
- Browser controls: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect how the site functions.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and disable non-essential cookies — no banner required.
Your regional rights
The consent experience adapts to where you are:
- EU, UK & EEA (GDPR): non-essential cookies stay off until you give explicit permission. You may accept all, reject non-essential, or choose by category.
- California (CPRA/CCPA): you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information — available in the footer at all times — or send a GPC signal.
- United States (general) & other regions: analytics run by default; you can opt out at any time from Cookie Settings.
